Par Audio Trail

A collaboration between The Time & Tide Bell Organisation, Friends of Par Beach and The Creation Works took place in November 2025 to celebrate the launch of the audio trail, which brings oral histories of Par, St Blazey and Tywardreath to life through recordings of loved local residents.
A performance of the Imerys Mid Cornwall Male Voice Choir took place inside of The Creation Works to start off the evening.

A relaxed performance took place at The Creation Works on the 14th of December 2025 of a wildly interactive, funny, festive Christmas classic reimagined for the whole family! Written and performed by Lecoq-trained clown Ethel Darling with live music from Julian Gaskell. Directed by Daniel Richards of Owdyado, Miracle Theatre and Near-ta.

We were delighted to welcome Emma Frankland and David Sheppeard from Marlborough productions to The Creation Works. They used the space during their week long residency to rehearse ahead of their performances of No Apologies at Falmouth International Arts Fest on the 5th March 2026. David, pioneering producer of queer interdisciplinary cultural projects offered 121 surgeries for producers during their stay.

The wonderful Company SHE used The Creation Works for a week long residency in April 2026 to work on their touring production, CROWN.
While rehearsing they offered an open company class for dancers in training aged 16+, which had a strong emphasis on floor work, travelling, technique and movement exploration focusing on empowerment and identity. It included a range of exercises and phrases that saw movers gliding, shifting, turning, twisting.
They also hosted a workshop, powerful bodies, where contemporary dance and classical Persian dance was led by Maria Tarokh, Choreographer and Company Director. Following the workshop, an informal 15-minute sharing of an extract from CROWN, performed by Company SHE dance artists, Ayesha Fazal, Regine Phua and Nyoosha Rahmani Torkaman, accompanied by live musicians, Ala Zarei and Anis Alichi.

The residency enabled us to work through and develop choreography, rehearse and due to the size of the space we were able to rehearse fully as a company with dancers, musicians and sound designer/engineer. Meet Mayor Max
About
Meet Mayor Max was a ‘work in progress’ performance that showed on the 2nd of April at The Creation Works. Written and Performed by Alex Robins. Directed by Jon Nash. ‘Meet Mayor Max’ was developed with support from Exeter Northcott Theatre’s Elevate Programme.
A charming and eccentric solo show, written and performed by Mayor Max’s number one fan! He isn’t afraid of the RUFF questions! He won’t ROLL OVER on the big issues! Vote for him to SIT in office! Max is the Mayor of Idyllwild, California. He’s also a Golden Retriever Labrador. It might seem far-fetched, but this story is true!

On girlhood

A workshop using movement and discussion to explore the themes of a new contemporary dance and physical theatre work by Millie Parker.
Millie used The Creation Works to be explore how your relationship with the idea of being a woman can evolve as you grow up and shifting through nostalgic and present-day definitions of what it means to be a woman.
The first half of the session lead participants through some movement tasks to deepen their relationship with their body through thoughtful movement and enable trust and support with the other woman in the room, before exploring some of the creative methods used during the performance works R&D.
The second half of the session was discussion based, facilitated to share participants experiences and discover similarities and differences in a safe and compassionate space. A selection of questions was proposed and responses through chatting and writing and leave with shared stories and perspectives.
